FAQs

Q: How long does it take mix & master a full song or beat?

A: Depends how many tracks are in your session. Most songs take from 60-140 minutes.

Q: How long have you all been mixing & mastering and recording songs?

A: For 11+ years.

Q: After you mix my song that I send you, will it sound professional?

A: Truly, depends on the quality of the vocals and music files you send us. The better the recording the better the mix will sound!

Q: Can I send my recorded session with the tracks to you to mix?

A: No, we will need the bounced out version of your session (all files tracked out at the same length).

Q: What is Mixing a song?

A: The process by which multiple recorded tracks are manipulated with EQ, gain, compression, and other effects or plugins to customize the sound to the artist’s satisfaction.  This is done in order to produce a mix that is more appealing to listeners and grab attention.

Q: What is Mastering a song?

A: Editing your song with skillful use of EQ, gain, limiters, and other necessary effects or plugins to give off a consistent sound and high volume to the single finalized mixed track that usually contains vocals and instruments.

Q: Why should I have my audio mastered?

A: Mastering is the final step in bringing your recording to its highest potential. It gives your music the professional commercial quality necessary to compete nationally and globally. No matter if your audio is planned for radio, CD/cassette duplication, CDRom/DVD authoring or publishing to the world wide web, it must be mastered to take full advantage of the media in which it is to be released.
